Able Lifts take great care and attention in delivering our services of lift maintenance, repairs, refurbishment and installation, from small stair lifts, platform lifts, dock levellers, hydraulic/traction passenger lifts, goods lifts including single installations to multi-unit, high rise and prestigious sites, meeting the requirements of a variety of engineering industry contracts and programme requirements.

We use a bespoke lift service and repairs management computer system. Our engineers use PDA systems which enables us to deal faster in quoting and invoicing and keeping up to date with all the lifts we maintain more efficiently, this also ensures we are helping the environment by using less paper.

We also use a tracker system which is fitted to all of our vehicles and monitored at our office for both our service and repair departments, this is used to issue correct ETAs for breakdowns of lifts and emergency trapped passengers. This enables us to give feedback to our clients to monitor our performance.

Over the years Able Lifts has demonstrated an understanding of adhering to and completing good preventative planned maintenance.

The following points are carried out on all visits:

1) Completing a safety check list of all moving mechanical parts including individual lift functions.

2) Safety checks on individual electrical and electronic lift operational functions.

3) Engineers are given tool-box safety talks covering how to maintain a lift to the company’s expectations. The guidelines for this are set out in the Preventative Planned Maintenance Schedule that we provide our clients.

4) A full lubrication and cleaning of parts to prevent noise and ensure smooth running of the lift machine. This also includes lift shaft, lift well equipment, guide rails, safety devices and all of their moving parts.
